The Wedding
On a hot day in mid June, this photo was taken. My sister and I made the dresses and little floral wreaths in our daughters’ hair. Memorably, the inside of the church was close to 100 degrees. During the wedding, the air conditioning in the building fizzled out but a wedding must go on.
The Flower Girl
To be honest, I love this shot from the handmade dresses to the handmade flower wreaths in their hair. And, I love how my youngest carried the skirt of her dress around all bunched up in front of her.
The Memory
Truly, for a flower girl, this is her first experience at a wedding and the magic that unfolds throughout the day. The innocence and awe of each of these flower girls to be part of this special day, is a favorite memory. Looking back, I remember being a flower girl and being in awe of the bride. I took the entire role of flower girl seriously. Truly, each of my little girls had to have been amazed by being part of this wedding and creating their own dreams of their own future wedding day.
